I usually take milk or protein after having run two miles in the morning. Running is the only way I break the limiting beliefs of my brain.

Anyways, as usual, I was all sweat after having run, and I was following my successive routine of buying milk and moving back home.

By the way, the street cats are so clever to know what you are holding in your hands. They follow you till the end with the hope of getting something to eat, some from what you got.

As I reached the street near my home, I saw a fat cat closing and opening her eyes, pretending to be cute, weak, and hungry. I saw her for a while, and I thought she must be fighting with other cats and eating their morsels.

I decided not to give her some of the milk I bought for myself and began the steps toward my home.

But later on, the merciful side of my heart took the lead, and for some reason, I stopped myself and thought I could be wrong. She must be hungry. Let’s give her a portion of the milk.

As I went to her intending to share some of the milk, making wrong calculations about me as a threat, she began to run away from me. I followed her while making welcoming sounds from my mouth.

She began to lessen the pace and became eager to see what I had to give her. As she stopped, I poured some milk on the pavement, ensuring that she saw me pouring the milk for her, and walked away.

As I was about to reach home, another cat came, but as I went near her, uttering the same welcoming sounds to give her milk, she went inside the pit and never returned.

I Reached Home and Contemplate About the Incident

Courage is not the absence of fear, but it’s the absolute awareness of the fear and then acting anyway.

Both cats were fearful, but the one who still waited and held her fear for a while got the milk.

Successful people also have fears, doubts, and uncertainties, but still, despite all, they take risks.
